About Paris Finest Hotels
Paris Finest Hotels is an independent editorial guide for travelers choosing among the city’s leading luxury hotels. We focus on the differences that actually change a stay — location, room category, views, dining, spa, family experience, atmosphere and overall fit.
Our reviews are research-based unless we explicitly state that a member of our editorial team stayed at the hotel. Paris Finest Hotels may earn commissions from selected booking links; commercial relationships do not determine our recommendations.
Paris does not need another generic list of luxury hotels
The city’s best hotels are often described with the same vocabulary: exceptional service, elegant rooms, refined dining, unforgettable experiences.
Those descriptions may all be true — and still fail to answer the question that matters when someone is about to spend several thousand dollars on a stay:
Which hotel is actually right for this trip?
Ritz Paris and Cheval Blanc can both be extraordinary, but they offer fundamentally different versions of Paris. The same is true of George V, Plaza Athénée, La Réserve, Le Bristol, Le Meurice, Crillon and Shangri-La.
Paris Finest Hotels exists to make those differences clear.
One city. One category. Much deeper coverage.
We deliberately keep the editorial scope narrow: luxury hotels in Paris.
That specialization allows us to compare room categories, Palace status, Michelin dining, Eiffel views, pools, spas, family infrastructure and location with more precision than a broad travel site covering every destination and hotel category.

First-time luxury visitors
Travelers who know they want an exceptional Paris stay but do not yet understand the difference between the city’s leading Palaces and five-star hotels.
Couples & honeymooners
Travelers choosing around privacy, romance, Eiffel views, dining, spa and milestone-trip atmosphere.
Families
Parents comparing kids clubs, connecting rooms, pools, babysitting and practical sightseeing locations.
Food-focused travelers
Guests who want Michelin-starred dining to be part of the hotel experience rather than a separate reservation elsewhere in the city.
View-first travelers
Guests choosing a specific room because the Eiffel Tower, Seine, Tuileries or Paris skyline is part of the reason for the trip.
Experienced Paris visitors
Travelers returning to the city and looking for a different hotel personality, neighborhood or level of intimacy.
Decision-first, not adjective-first
We aim to make every article useful at the moment a traveler is deciding where to stay.
We compare trade-offs
A 30-meter pool may matter more than a historic lobby. A Place Vendôme address may matter more than a kids club. The right answer depends on the trip.
We verify specific claims
An Eiffel-view hotel is not enough. We look for the exact room or suite category that actually confirms the view.
We avoid fake certainty
When a current source does not publish a pool length, policy or other detail, we do not invent one.
We separate fact from opinion
Michelin stars and room sizes are facts. “Best for couples” is an editorial judgment that should be explained.
We do not fabricate stays
A research-based review is labeled and written as research-based unless genuine first-hand experience exists.
We update meaningful changes
Restaurant stars, renovations, family programs and hotel facilities can materially change a recommendation.
Our core Paris luxury hotel collection
Our initial coverage focuses on a deliberately small group of hotels that consistently matter when travelers compare the upper end of the Paris market.

Commercial relationships do not buy editorial ranking positions. A hotel can rank first without an affiliate relationship, and an affiliate partner can rank lower or receive a critical trade-off where that is the more useful editorial conclusion.

Read our Editorial Policy →Research-based does not mean anonymous guesswork
We use current official hotel information and authoritative sources where appropriate, then add editorial analysis designed around the booking decision.
For example, Michelin is our source of truth for current restaurant star status, while Atout France is our source for France’s official Palace distinction. Hotel websites remain the primary source for current room categories, published views and hotel facilities.
If sources conflict, we aim to explain the discrepancy rather than silently choosing whichever version is easier to publish.
The “best” hotel is usually the best fit
There is no single Paris hotel that should win every ranking.
Cheval Blanc can be the best overall choice while Shangri-La leads for Eiffel views, Plaza Athénée for romance, Le Bristol for a classic family Palace stay or La Réserve for privacy.
That is not inconsistency. It is the point of the publication.

What is Paris Finest Hotels?
Paris Finest Hotels is an independent editorial guide focused on helping travelers choose among Paris’s leading luxury hotels through research-based reviews, rankings and comparisons.
Does Paris Finest Hotels review every luxury hotel in Paris?
No. We deliberately focus on a curated group of hotels that matter most within the upper end of the Paris luxury market, then go deeper on the differences between them.
Do you stay at every hotel?
No. Unless we explicitly state that an editor stayed at the property, our reviews are research-based. We do not fabricate first-hand experiences.
How does Paris Finest Hotels make money?
Some booking links may generate affiliate commissions. Commercial relationships do not determine our editorial rankings or recommendations.
How do you decide which hotel is best?
It depends on the traveler intent. Our overall ranking considers the full hotel proposition, while specialist guides focus on criteria such as Eiffel views, family experience, spa facilities, romance or Michelin-starred dining.
Can hotels correct information about their property?
Yes. Hotels and readers can send factual corrections supported by current authoritative sources. Independent editorial judgments and ranking positions are not subject to hotel approval.
