Chi, The Spa is centered on a 17-meter indoor swimming pool and terrace bathed in natural light, with treatments, fitness facilities and hammam access completing the wellness proposition.
That puts Shangri-La in the stronger half of Paris luxury hotels for travelers who actually intend to swim. Cheval Blanc still wins on verified pool length at 30 meters; Shangri-La’s 17 meters matches George V’s documented length while offering a very different residential setting.
Shang Palace remains distinctive — but it is no longer Michelin-starred
This is an important update because older reviews can be misleading. Shang Palace was historically one of the hotel’s headline Michelin stories, but its current 2026 status is different.
Shang Palace
Europe’s first Shang Palace opened here in 2011. Shangri-La’s own awards page states that the restaurant was Michelin-starred from 2011 through 2024; Michelin’s current 2026 listing includes Shang Palace without a star designation.
